New Viqua Water Softener Install Cameron
Hard water and soft water, does it really matter?
Having hard water can seem like a small problem until you notice the effect it can have on many different things. Appliances and plumbing get the worst of it, hard water can shorten the lifespan on appliances like dishwashers and washing machines as well as the pipes in your home. Hard water has a high amount of calcium and magnesium, this is what makes it hard. These minerals cause scale buildup and that is what damages appliances and fixtures, as well as causes damage to the pipes in your home. It can seem costly to put in a softener system, but the cost of having to replace major appliances in your home far surpasses the amount you would spend on an effective water softener system.
Softer water means better plumbing
This job brought us to Cameron, a small village located about 15 minutes north-west of Lindsay. We had been asked to quote multiple jobs for this customer at multiple properties they owned. This one was for a new build and they wanted to put in the Viqua water softener system as well as a Viqua UV system. They decided to proceed with the quote we gave them for both of these pieces of equipment. Then we got to work, here is what we did:
- Completed wiring to be able to hook up UV and softener.
- Shut off the water at the main line.
- Drained water lines.
- Brought in new softener and put in place.
- Connected power to softener as well as proper water connections.
- Filled brine tank half way with salt.
- Mounted UV system to the wall.
- Connected power to Viqua unit.
- Hooked up necessary water connections to the Viqua unit as well.
- Started up both UV and softener systems to ensure all was working as it should.
Then they had a fully functioning water filtration system and water softener and we had another happy customer. If you are interested in your water treatment options give us a call so we can quote you on your options.
