New Continental furnace installation
A warm home is a happy home
One of the best things to do on a cold winter evening is curling up on the couch in your cozy, warm house. It is even better when you have a brand-new heating system keeping your house warm. There is something extra comforting when you know the heating equipment you put in is still new and unlikely to have any issues which means not going to coast you any more money. Even better, for the first 10 years of any Napoleon or Continental furnace your repair parts are covered under warranty. This means if a problem occurs with your new furnace you are not on the hook for paying for the repair parts. So not only can you enjoy the heat inside as it gets colder outside, you get to be worry free when it comes to parts breaking for ten long years. Sounds like a win-win to me.
Another day, another furnace installed
This recent project brought us to the city of Peterborough, the closest city to our head office here in Fraserville. The customer’s furnace was not giving off any heat so they called the experts at Doyle to fix it. When we came in to inspect, it was discovered that along with a pressure switch failing, the heat exchanger was cracked. Since it had these problems and the fact that the furnace was already 24 years old, which is ancient in furnace years, both the customer and technician felt it was best to replace rather than repair. The piece of equipment we were installing was a 9600 series Continental furnace. Let us take a look at what we did:
- First, the technician disconnected the gas
- Then the old furnace was removed and the new one brought in
- The existing duct work was all adapted to accommodate the new furnace
- The gas line was hooked up
- The electrical and venting were also adapted for the new furnace
- Hooked up drain line
- Connected the high and low voltage
- Ensured everything was hooked up to manufacturers specifications
- Tested for leaks
- Checked the home for any carbon monoxide
And that is a wrap. Another furnace successfully installed. If you are considering a new furnace call us for a free estimate.
