Today we performed a brand new toilet install in Scugog, a part of Durham region located on the shores of lake Scugog, jost a short drive north of Bowmanville. We had been called to the customer’s home due to their toilet not flushing properly. After inspecting the older toilet that was in at the time, our expert technicians diagnosed the problem and recommended a new toilet install. The homeowner chose to have us put in a new American Standard right height round bowl cadet pro toilet. And here is how it went:
- Turned off the water
- Drained old toilet and disconnected the water supply
- Removed the bolts holding toilet in place and took the toilet off
- Removed the old wax gasket
- Cleaned the area and then put both new bolts and new toilet flange in place
- Installed new supply lines going to where the new toilet would be
- Put in new wax gasket
- Put the new toilet in place and put on toilet bolts
- Used rot-proof shims to eliminate any rocking
- Re-attached the water supply and turned it on
- Disposed of old toilet
